Weavers Lodge is a specialised brand new Residential and Respite service in Castle Cary, Somerset, for adults who have learning disabilities and complex needs, including behaviours that may challenge.

The bespoke service will comprise of a 6 bed residential service and a 2 bed respite service within the same building. Development is underway and your role will initially involve supporting the service manager with the set-up of the new service and in the overall running of the day to day operations of the home thereafter.

Working Hours

  • 40 hours per week, flexibility required
  • undertaking support shifts in line with the needs of the business
  • Participating in on-call essential.

Training and Development

Job description

  • Overseeing the day to day running of the care service
  • Creating and managing the staff rota
  • Creating and maintaining care plans
  • Conducting quality assurance audits 
  • Leading and managing staff so they can perform their roles safely and to the best of their ability

About You

You will have

  • Strong leadership skills, promote a positive culture
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a senior role
  • Experience of supporting individuals and teams through the effective use of behavioural support
  • Strong communication skills
  • QCF Level 3 or equivalent achieved
  • Strong numeracy, literacy and computer skills
  • A broad knowledge of learning disabilities
