Immediate contracts available at The Oaks:

  • £9.10 - £9.25 an hour
  • Up to £13.88 per hour on bank holidays
  • Full time and part time support worker roles available, let us know how many hours you are looking for and we can try our best to accommodate
  • Support Worker shift patterns include: 7am - 3pm and 2pm till 10pm

About the role

The Oaks is a residential home for adults who have learning disabilities and complex needs, including behaviours that may challenge, autism and other associated issues. The main home has accommodation for up to 6 people.

A day in the life of a support worker:

  • Days; 7am - 3pm - Week 1 Sunday / Week 2 : Saturday and Sunday
  • Nights; 9.45pm-7.45am 35 hours per week - Week 1 Saturday / Week 2 Saturday and Sunday
  • Everyday tasks such as shopping, sitting services and light housework to encourage self-help skills
  • Creating fun and engaging activities
  • Assisting with cooking and support in the kitchen
  • Assisting with fantastic days out with our service users
  • Assisting with personal care with our service users
  • Completing relevant documentation
  • Administer medication to service users
  • Attending meetings and undertaking training as required
  • Completing hourly welfare checks of service users during the night

About you

We are following the Government’s Guidelines to ensure the safety of our service users and our staff to limit the spread of infection across our Autonomy Life service, at The Oaks.

We are committed in all aspects of safety for our team and service users, to reassure everyone that we always have full PPE supplies.

Our early adoption of the vaccine means as a key worker you will have access to an early vaccination, alongside weekly tests, known as PCR testing, whilst working at The Oaks.
