The role

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a brand new team providing support to a young person with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

This is a senior role to support the Registered manager in the management of the home and leadership of the staff team in order to achieve and maintain an effective and responsive service to the optimum benefit of the young person, offering opportunities and maximising choice.

From the outset you will be fundamental in supporting the young persons move into the new bespoke service that will be opening just outside of Westbury.

You will be providing 3 to 1 support as a team and, as senior challenging behaviour support worker, you will be responsible for leading the team during the shift supporting this young person to achieve positive outcomes through our holistic approach.

About you

You will be a positive role model committed to the individual needs of the young person we support which can include personal, practical, social and domestic support.

You will be responsible for completing relevant documentation for the person being supported ensuring compliance with guidance, statutory regulation and company policies and procedures.

We are looking for people who:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years support work experience working with people with complex needs and behaviours that challenge.
  • That hold a minimum of QCF level 3 in health and social care or equivalent.
  • Are caring and respectful enabling the young person we support to learn and grow
  • Are flexible and adaptable who want to go the extra mile if it means making a positive difference to their lives
  • Are enthusiastic with excellent communication skills committed to developing positive working relationships
  • Hold a valid driving license

Due to regulatory requirements we are unable to accept applications from people under the age of 22.
