About us

Based in the Wiltshire countryside near Chippenham, Haresfield has five en-suite bedrooms suitable for any gender. Individual needs are at the centre of our practice, and we listen and respond to the individual’s voice when planning their care. Achieving positive outcomes is paramount to us.

Join us and you can expect

  • £12.35 per hour working towards QCF level 3 (or equivalent)
  • £12.60 per hour - QCF level 3 (or equivalent) and less than 2 years experience
  • £13.00 per hour - QCF level 3 (or equivalent) and minimum 2 years experience in Team Leader role
  • Bank Holiday is paid at time and a half
  • Holiday top-up payment made for regular overtime (T&C's)

  • Work alternate weekends (essential)
  • Day shifts term time weekdays 7am-11am
  • Afternoon shifts term time weekdays 2pm-9:30pm
  • Day shifts school holidays and weekends 7am-2pm
  • Afternoon shifts school holidays and weekends 2pm-9:30pm

Training and Development

  • Funded apprenticeships and diplomas
  • Accredited Positive Behaviour Management Training
  • Mandatory Training Provided

Job description/ key skills

  • Socialising with our young people and creating fun and engaging activities and home events
  • Cooking and support in the kitchen during meal times
  • Assisting with fantastic days out with our young people
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Complete relevant documentation
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare
  • Strong numeracy, literacy and computer skills,
  • Broad knowledge of Learning Disabilities and other related conditions
  • Participating in on call essential

About you

You will

  • Be 20+ years of age
  • Caring and respectful enabling the people we support to have a high quality of life and make their own decisions
  • Flexible and adaptable will to go the extra mile if it means making a positive difference to someones life
  • Enthusiastic with excellent communication skills committed to developing positive working relationships
  • Have experience working with children and young people or adults with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge
  • Living within a 20 mile radius of Chippenham. (Essential)
  • Hold a valid driving license with access to a vehicle
