Autonomy Care Limited provides individualised care and support to young people and adults, enabling them to remain in their own home and engage within the community, enhancing their quality of life.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a brand new team providing support to a person with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

This is a support worker role to support the senior team to maintain an effective and responsive service to the optimum benefit of the young person, offering opportunities and maximising choice.

The role of waking night is 2:1 with responsibilities around the safeguarding of the young person, ensuring paperwork is completed and associated tasks overnight, this will be ensuring that laundry is completed, domestic chores in the home, prepping of meals if this is necessary for then next day.

About you

You will be a positive role model committed to the individual needs of the person we support which can include personal, practical, social and domestic support.

You will be responsible for completing relevant documentation for the person being supported ensuring compliance with guidance, statutory regulation and company policies and procedures.

We are looking for people who:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years support work experience working with people with complex needs and behaviours that challenge.
  • That hold a minimum of QCF level 2 in health and social care or equivalent.
  • Are caring and respectful enabling the young person we support to learn and grow
  • Are flexible and adaptable who want to go the extra mile if it means making a positive difference to their lives
  • Are enthusiastic with excellent communication skills committed to developing positive working relationships
  • Hold a valid driving license

At this time, we have ensured small bubbles/teams of staff going into our service users homes have set routes in place, to reduce potential spread as much as possible.

We are committed in all aspects of safety for our team and service users, to reassure everyone that we always have full PPE supplies for all our services.

Our early adoption of the vaccine means as a key worker you will have access to an early vaccination, alongside weekly tests, known as PCR testing, whilst working in one of our services.
