Immediate contract available at The Oaks

  • Part time (24 hours a week)
  • Shift pattern will be 7am till 3pm and 2pm till 10pm
  • £9.25 to £10.20 per hour

About the role

The Oaks is a residential home for adults who have learning disabilities and complex needs, including behaviours that may challenge, autism and other associated issues. The main home has accommodation for up to 8 people.

We are currently looking to appoint a Team Leader for our residential care homes in Malvern. The role involves supporting the management team to run the homes according to standards and legislation; running shifts, developing care plans outlining what care and support individuals need, inducting new staff and supervisions.

The successful candidate will be an effective role model, with a consistent person centred approach, a self-starter with strong problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. You will be able to prioritise your workload in accordance with the needs of the service and service users.

Key skills required

  • NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care to be archived
  • Demonstrable understanding of the legislative requirements around care of vulnerable people
  • MCA and DOLS understanding of the requirements
  • Strong numeracy, literacy and computer skills
  • Broad knowledge of Learning Disabilities and other related conditions
  • Participating in on call essential
