We are recruiting an Assistant Manager to help lead either an established children’s home or a new provision that is in the early stages of being set up.
Our established service, Haresfield, is a vibrant home dedicated to supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and behaviours that may challenge. It offers more than just a place to live – it’s a place where they can truly flourish. Our team creates a safe, nurturing and empowering environment where they are all encouraged to discover their strengths, develop new skills and build confidence for the future.
Our new home will also be located near Chippenham, Wiltshire.

Job description
As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping a safe, stable, and positive environment for both the young people and staff. Your responsibilities will include
- Overseeing the day to day running of the care service
- Creating and managing the staff rota
- Creating and maintaining care plans
- Conducting quality assurance audits
- Leading and managing staff so they can perform their roles safely and to the best of their ability
About You
- You will have Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire a positive, inclusive culture
- Minimum 2 years experience in a managerial role

- Experience of supporting individuals and teams through the effective use of behavioural support
- Strong communication skills
- QCF Level 3 or equivalent achieved
- Strong numeracy, literacy and computer skills
- A broad knowledge of learning disabilities
